I believe Angle was pulled from an Indy show this weekend. I know he's publicly said that he's not at the Rumble, but then he's going to say that.

Same here, fellow Uk-er. I have no idea who will make it through to the end (Which makes me think it'll likely be an outside choice).

WATCHMEN the comic book is a reaction to comics, WATCHMEN the movie feels like a reaction to comic book movies. It just arguably came out too soon in the superhero cycle.

I really like his DAWN OF THE DEAD remake. People ballyhoo about "consumerism man" in Romero's original and that's fine…but it's kind of overblown too. Romero's only real point is that 'People are mindless zombies', and once he makes that point there's nowhere else for it to go.

It makes perfect sense. Who created him ceases to matter. Manhattan by that point is an angry dad and US/USSR are his bickering children. It's not that they unite in harmony, it's that if they try and push one another again Manhattan is going to come in and lay waste to them both. They basically have no choice but to

Right, but WATCHMEN as a movie is a reaction to Superhero movies, where no one is really 'superhuman' but they are heightened (Think BATMAN et al). It's talking in filmic language, so for me the fight scenes are not really out of place. They are brutal and horrific, as any fight with one of these people would be.

I still hold the first movie up to any of those. I watched it again recently, and I hate the sequels, but the first is great, and surprisingly earnest. It really is a love letter to that stuff.

I keep thinking of how well this show pulled off their twist compared to something like WESTWORLD, which spent the whole time partly telling a story and partly goading you into 'solving' what was going on, which most people did incredibly early on, making the big reveal incredibly limp (I would say the final twist of

I remember liking it with major caveats. I think Brody is fine, and I like the reveal of Topher Grace (Even if it did get spoiled in advance). However the Fishburne stuff is weird, because it makes it seem as though he's only actually been there like 3 weeks and not the months (Years?) he was supposed to.

I don't even think he's a lousy actor, and he has charisma to spare. I think he's thoroughly less interesting to watch now that he's a 'brand', but he dragged the FAST AND FURIOUS movies to the juggernauts they are today.

He's likely taking something, but at the same time he is ridiculously strict with his diet and works out twice a day. You can't hold back the ravages of time, but you also can't deny the amount of work he puts in.

I think for that reason binging it isn't really recommended. It is formulaic, and to be fair it does play around with that, but it can give the impression that it's all very similar, even though there's years between seasons sometimes.

It isn't that he's a Russian pawn, it's that Russia are just greasing the wheels for him. They're engaging in some real old school world shaping right now.

The 'redacted' version of II is great. It fixes almost all of the weird issues such as the nonsense text the villagers give you, and throws in some hints to help you with some of the more obscure puzzles. It can't fix everything, but it makes a frustrating game less so.

I kind of want to give a shout out to Norton's novel. It's really good and arguably not what you'd expect a Norton novel to be. Unsurprisingly, what interests him most is people, and he has a great eye for characters.

I just always explained it away as how do the aliens know that it's toxic to them? It's flimsy, but no less flimsy than uploading an alien virus in ID4

In his UPROXX interview, it was clear that Shyamalan didn't want to do AFTER EARTH. Whatever he was going through he's clearly made it out the other side.

Interesting that you hear the exact same things about George Michael as well. A few stories came out afterward that he would see people on TV and call in to make sure they got help.

I love that movie. It's a really solid thriller that Hollywood has no interest in making any more.

I think TORQUE is great, and its tongue is very firmly in cheek, but it's not really notable in any way beyond that. Except if you want to see the moment were a studio thought they would get a new franchise and watch a demonstrate to them how dumb that idea is.
