Even when Olivia wasn't with Fitz…"the man of the people"…Who did he call for Advise? Olivia has always ran the WH…Like I'm sure Michelle is President Obama's closest adviser and Hillary probably did the same for Bill.
Yes, Cyrus was acting like a jealous little bitch. Why don't he just admit that he's in love with

Very few characters admit they are wrong. Olivia, Fitz, Abby, and David are probably the only four. I can root for any character who sees their own faults. No, Olivia is not evil. She has done some terrible things. But really who hasn't on Scandal.

Exactly? So who should Fitz listen too? Cyrus? Mellie? Those two clowns always gave Fitz bad advise. The man was smart to listen to Olivia. Even when Olivia and Fitz weren't together, Fitz relied on Olivia's political mind for advise. I don't think it makes him weak either. Olivia is the Shadow on the President and of

Scandal is fictional so your point is moot.

Yes Olivia would make a better President than Mellie because Olivia is smarter and wiser. Olivia Pope is very popular outside of Scandal world. KW was just nominated for People's choice award.

The show moved right along without Mellie. She wasn't missed at all. I agree, the show would die and fast death if Mellie was lead. She's not interesting at all.

The reads on Scandal needs to end. It makes the character look like hypocrites and stupid. Jake has always been creepy. Glad Olivia wiped that weird attempt at a kiss off.

She's the star of the show. Kerry Washington/Olivia is beautiful and most of the time very smart? Brains and looks? Who can blame Fitzgerald Grant for falling in love?

I thought this episode was a nice step up from last week. I enjoyed it for the most part. Didn't miss Mellie and Jake has some nerve. Didn't he take away Cyrus love James? One thing the writers need to stop is the "reads". None of the characters on the show got room to judge or "read" someone else. It makes them look

and the same Mellie who set the killer of her son Jerry free because she is so power hungry to be President. She's an awful person.

Mellie loves playing victim. She is always blaming Fitz for everything that goes wrong in her life. She's a sad pathetic cold woman and a terrible mother. Poor Teddy.

I checked again, Yes Chris Van Dusen and co-writer Raamla Mohammad wrote the Fluffer. Unfortunately for Scandal fans Raamla Mohammad wrote the next episode "Even the devil deserves a second chance", so prepare for two crap episodes in a row peeps.

I'm still trying to process the stupidity in the writing for episode 5.05. Worst episode of Scandal EVER. Fitz and Mellie divorce was the only interesting thing in this episode. Liv, who ran away when she found out Papa Pope Killed Fitz son Jerry. Now the man she worked so hard to put in prison, she sets him free

Chris Van Dusen also wrote the Fluffer. Seems all of his episodes are garbage.

Olivia's monologue and Fitz/Cyrus were emotional to watch. Great acting and writing in those scenes.

A plot device that made Mellie look kind of stupid.

The same Supreme Court Judge who tried to kill him? Only Olivia, Fitz, and Cyurs know the truth and neither one will ever spill.
Defiance? Mellie, Cyrus, Olivia, and Hollis will do Federal time for that, not Fitz.
Nope, Fitz won't get impeached. This is Scandal, everybody walks.

    True!
Fitz is not your FauxNews/Rush/Hannity aka CrackPipe crazy Republican. Fitz is more of a Colin Powell type Republican who is more moderate than conservative.

Cyrus is in love with Fitz. I knew Cyrus was capable of hurting Olivia and throwing her under the bus, but Cyrus would never touch a spot on Fitz perfectly good head of hair. In many ways, Cyrus sees himself as President through Fitz. So of course he would lie to protection Fitz/himself.

Come on to the Olitz side. Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn have the most amazing chemistry in primetime. They have always made sense to me as a couple, but the last two seasons, the writing has failed the characters. This season, like Gwen wrote, has been spectacular.
