For 6 seasons Fitz hasn't been done with Olivia and he won't be for the 7th season either. And of course, she won't be done with him. The difference now is that Fitz has matured and has found a way to live life without Olivia Pope. Right now Olivia isn't ready to be loved or love anyone.

I agree that Rowan will also help save her since he created this Predator called Olivia Pope.

Olivia most definitely can be redeemed. This Olivia we are seeing now is something Shonda Rhimes came up with after the kidnapping. The Olivia in the first 3 seasons wasn't a sociopath, she was actually a good person who really did wear the White hat. She was the one who saved Quinn from murder charges for something

Olivia has not had sex with Jake since he got married. What show are you watching?

AV club, please appoint a real writer to review Scandal's final season.
With that said, the finale wasn't bad, but hate the writers brought back the much hated B613 story.
Am I the only one annoyed how stupid Jake is. He kills anyone Olivia tells him to kill. At least Huck had the common sense to ask Olivia WHY this

Fair enough. I get that Fitz is the lead character and he will be scrutinized more than the other men on the show. But give the guy a break. Mellie and Olivia are impossible women to love or even like. I hate both character to be honest with you. I think Olivia has totally lost all morals and yes her humanity given

    I agree.

Ironic you say that SR has been grooming Fitz to be a better man for Olivia. I want to know when will Olivia be fixed, so she can be a better woman for Fitz. Fitz was never the problem on this show. All the characters are selfish, whiny, needy, and self-righteous. Especially Mellie, Jake, Rowan, and Cyrus. So why

I know what you mean. You have intelligent actors like Kerry Washington attempting to defend Shonda Rhimes writing and it really makes them look not so smart. I guess this is why Tony Goldwyn gets into trouble with Shonda, he's about the only actor on the show who refuse to defend writing and I'm grateful for honesty

I was thinking the same, but why even bother thinking at all watching this show? Jake killed a man this episode and now he is Mellies VP guy. Where they do that at? Jake killed to get the NSA job and kill again and now he's VP and Olivia knows all of this, but won't stop it. Crazy. The problem is Shonda's obsession

TRUE. If it doesn't make sense, Shonda will write it.

Fans aren't suppose to remember that in Shonda Rhimes Scandal version 2.0. All the whore calling is to be forgotten also.

This power thing will never make sense. Olivia has always been about fixing people, not on some power trip. This is something Shonda made up in the 2nd half of the season and she hoped fans would be stupid enough to forget the first 4 seasons of the show. So Olivia wants Mellie to be President so badly because it

Scandal returned with 10.5 million, so I guess the Olake fans were small in numbers. Olitz fans tuned back in. But they left again after 509.

You can't take Command was a solid Scandal episode and the show returned for season 5 with over 10.5 million viewers. So This writer seems to be way off base from what the fans enjoyed overall.
Actually, the sun has always been an Olitz thing. Olivia could never stand in the sun or express her love for Fitz openly

I never read the review for 4.22. I thought it was a solid episode and Olivia deciding to be with Fitz was the perfect ending to the season. Given Olivia's life after breaking up with Fitz, the White House doesn't look like a prison. At least she was happy and in love. Now, she's miserable, mean, angry, and killer

Shonda's obsession with Foley is weird. If he was a major talent, I could understand, but the guy simply cannot act to save his life. Yes, the characters changes with the plots. Soap writing 101…stories should be character driven, not plot driven.

Yes, Olivia had an affair with a married man she was IN LOVE WITH. Olivia is not suppose to be perfect. She never was. But wearing the white hat meant that she tried to do the right thing but failed. Now, she's just mean and selfish and 99% of that has to do with her taking advice from her evil dad. It is SHonda

Zahir McGhee is a terrible writer. I agree the writing failed Tony this episode. Tony Goldwyn is a great director, but he has no control over the words written. Scandal writers aren't qualified to write about or they are too lazy to do their research on PTSD.

One of the few times that I've agreed with your reviews. Scandal has hit rock bottom. Two pretty good episodes in a row and then they hit another wall of foolishness. Most of the fans, the 5.8 million that are left, predicted Olivia would kill Andrew. The promos all but spelled it out. So what now? Olivia is a
