I think Mellie betrayal of Fitz was Mellitz version of Defiance for Olitz. Fitz did the same to Olivia after Defiance. He kicked her to the curb. So his reaction to Mellie is keeping with his character. Betrayal is something he won't accept.

Best finale since season one. I enjoyed the Olivia and Fitz reunion, Eli Pope going to jail, Fitz firing Cyrus and Kicking Mellie out, and the manipulations of Lizzie. Can't wait for the Presidential Divorce story that is coming in season 5. About time.

I agree with you Kaston. This is still Olivia's show. It is hard to root for Olivia at times but I definitely don't root for Mellie either. She's just a supporting character. The stories continue to move through Olivia and the White House with Fitz.
