    Fun fact: Shelley's Ozymandias was written in competition with his friend, Horace Smith, who wrote a similar poem on the same subject. Smith's poem was titled "On A Stupendous Leg of Granite, Discovered Standing by Itself in the Deserts of Egypt, with the Inscription Inserted Below."
