I've only seen a few episodes myself. Fortunately, they were the ones with Marsters. He's really good in it. They gave him an interesting character and he ran with it.

Just the mention of one is enough to make me smile. Just the mention of the other is enough to cause my eyes to well up if I think about it more than two seconds.
I didn't realize Mr. Brooks was behind the latter. You just blew my mind, too.

Uh-oh. That certainly sets the scene.
I'm so glad you liked it! It's the kind of show that I find myself watching each episode twice, just to catch every detail. And the reviews and comments help with that (did you read them?).
Keep watching. As Bette said, "Fasten your seat belt, it's going to be a bumpy ride." Well,

You're probably right about all that. I think I'm getting a bit clingy toward the show now that it's almost over, hence my desire for the warm-and-fuzzies. We'll all just have to accept whatever they give us, I guess. Just so they don't pull a "Not Fade Away" on us, or even a partial one. Perish the thought. I just

His privilege and his wont.
I love that patented look he always has on his face when he utters such lines. A bit of world-weariness? Snark? Slight contempt sometimes? And always a sense of bemusement at whatever's happening.

Exactly! Agree with every word.
And "we don't have time, people!" sums it up nicely.

I had a weird little crush on him when I was a kid. I even thought there was something oddly sexy about him in Blazing Saddles…maybe it was the black outfit and neck kerchief…and blue eyes.

I was unfamiliar with Fillory. Googled it, sounds interesting!

I love that line!
That story arc was the epitome of silliness, and it can still make us laugh. I think what made it special is that you can tell they had fun doing it, and it was contagious watching it.

Beautiful!

I'm ashamed to say that one didn't even cross my mind. I feel I should have to turn in my Angel Nerd Credentials or something…but I'm not going to.

Me, too. But they were just barely there.

Oooh, good one.

That's a terrific idea! I wish David Greenwalt or Jim Kouf had thought of it somewhere along the way. It would've given a lot of us a thrill.

I know! Isn't that nostalgic feeling wonderful? I had to watch the youtube clip and and it made me so happily nostalgic that I might soon have to do an entire Angel rewatch.
Actually, with Grimm coming to an end in a couple of weeks, that might be the perfect time for it.

Yep. Now we just need Numfar doing the dance of joy.

So did Jim Morrison, and they looked pretty good on him.
Come to think of it, he had a whole combo wild people/devilish/leather pants/possibly wesen look going on. After all, he was the Lizard King.

You're right. And I didn't think of that. Isn't it funny how much gold there is to be mined from that one movie?

Pro:
I thought this episode had its merits, especially visually. I love ancient standing stones (one day I'll get to Stonehenge!), cairns, etc. Combine that with fog, mist, and the woods at night and you have an atmospheric quality that pulls at our primordial, primeval instincts.

Outlander?
Quortoth?
Lorne's home dimension, Pylea?
