He was odious!
Sorry…couldn't resist.
He was odious!
Sorry…couldn't resist.
That's an excellent point.
And I so agree with you about Ecbert. I think he's been, for me, the second most interesting character on the show. I've enjoyed every moment he's been onscreen, his weaselly side as well as his intelligent and thoughtful aspects. His death scene was difficult for me to watch, and I find it…
It was weird. I find it strange that, knowing the girl was severely traumatized by witnessing the slaughter of her people, Helga would've dragged her into the midst of more fighting and slaughter. Staying at home with her and giving her time might've given her a chance to start to heal (although I doubt it), but…
I'm not sure. I thought I saw it briefly a second time, couldn't tell you when. However, I'd like to see it again, as a touch of normalcy and something to care about in James' life.
The poor thing needs a home. Of course James will probably be going to America, but he could take it with him. I'm just an animal lover…
I still miss my Fluffetta who died a year ago (not to mention other cats, dogs, bunnies along the way), so I know how you feel. Sympathy can't fix it, but hopefully helps a little.
Hugs to you.
His saying "Hmmm?" and listening intently to it was the best moment in this episode.
I may be coming to that point. I've been hanging in there because I like period pieces and I'm a serious history buff so I know the time period well, but they're overdoing it.
The writers are more concerned with shock value than good storytelling. And I'm getting a little tired of feeling the urgent need for a shower…
Howdy to you, too! Good to hear from you.
He absolutely horrified me as Caligula, and utterly broke my heart as John Merrick. And then there were so many lighter and pleasurable moments he gave us along the way and over the years. I wonder how many smiles he generated?
Too many to count, and I'm grateful for all of them.
His talent was immeasurable and on many…
I agree with every word. I was one of those shippers, too, and wanted her to stay so very much (he needed her!).
That episode also touched my heart to see Cordy and Wesley enjoying each other's company again, doing research together especially. It harkened all the way back to season one. I always loved the dynamic…
Maybe for an encore she could do some highlights from JC Superstar…might go well with the whole Splinter of Destiny thing. And it'd be a change of pace musically (I've always loved it, it's welcome in my head anytime).
Their lack of parenting skills combined with her powers (plus the fact she's already a killer) makes me wonder just how she's going to develop, how evil she might become, and whether maybe El Cuegle should've paid a visit to them when she was a baby.
However, I'm hoping the Grimmsters can set her on the right path…
Oh! Not to mention Sexy Rexy Harrison. Plus, I have a weakness for any story set by (or near, on, or under) the sea…love that movie.
Gene Tierney was lovely, and classy. I'm a serious film buff, and I've always put her sort of in the same class as Jean Simmons and Deborah Kerr.
Did you know there once was a "Ghost and…
I've somehow missed that movie. Don't know how being as I always liked Alan Rickman.
I think I need to add it to my Netflix queue.
Perish the thought!
Wow. That would provide a really serious moment in the show, wouldn't it? It would be interesting, but have me hand-wringing (probably what they would be doing).
I saw her demonstrate that in an interview once. The trick is to do it very quickly and not to overdo it. I think I'm like most people who try it…it just looks like I have an itchy nose or I'm stifling a sneeze. Not too magical.
That would bring out the joke-writer in all of us.
Well…I remember watching reruns of Bewitched as a little girl and I thought there was a kind of elegance about Elizabeth Montgomery that I hoped to develop as I grew up.
Never could get the nose-twitch right, though.
Hold on a sec…..
Nope, still can't.
I've often thought I could use Samantha from Bewitched in the kitchen, especially after experimenting with new recipes.
Either would do.
I'd forgotten about that! It was a good idea.
I liked Buffy but I was (am) even more of an Angel fan. So it reminds me of how, in the last season of Angel, Cordelia (who'd been in a coma forever) woke up and came to spend the day at Wolfram and Hart visiting the whole gang. Charisma Carpenter had left the show…
