Nice comments, and I saw what you did there at the end. Made me smile.

Ha! The operative word there is "sensible". I think the writers forgot the meaning of that word a long time ago.
And cucumbers…yes! Nice and fresh, along with nice ripe tomatoes right out of the garden. Yum…now I'll look forward to summer, during which time I'll make gazpacho and brew sweet tea and forget this

Maybe Gimple and Kirkman have gotten so "big-headed" (as evidenced on The Talking Dead) that it's affected their thinking and judgment. They knew this would reeeally anger even their most loyal viewers and don't care, or subscribe to the spirit of that old adage "there's no such thing as bad publicity" and confuse

Personally, I would love to have seen Eugene's gazpacho recipe.

I was just imagining the Dr. Seuss book that would've been an excerpt from. Not for little kids, but one I'd certainly love to have a copy of. Thanks for the laugh!

Those are all good ideas.
I started out thinking of her as a woman doing whatever she needs to do to survive, and was willing to like her. But there's just something flat about the character now. Maybe the writers will make her more interesting, but if not, I'm ready for her to go bye-bye.

True, but it's not as frequent or high-pitched. The current seer is certainly creepy in his own right. Floki is…something else. His giggle is like fingernails on a blackboard to me.

It requires you to do what's necessary to give the companion animal in your care a good life. Food, water, shelter, love and affection (which they need just as much), and medical care if they're sick or injured. If a person has no more compassion for that animal than to do those basic things, then they shouldn't have

I really wish Yidu would make an exit, and I don't really care by what means.

I'm surprised the reviewer wonders if Ragnar's growing instability is part of a long con. They've given us several scenes where he's completely alone and even then appears to be a man bordering on a nervous breakdown or even lunacy. And his new junkie status is definitely exacerbating it. He's obviously a man

He'll have to get rid of that creepy giggle first.

"Justified" is how I got started here. During it's last season I would read the AV Club reviews each week (and they were excellent) and I so enjoyed the post-episode discussions I finally decided to participate just in time for the series finale.
I think you'll love it. Raylan, Boyd and company are such memorable

Tony's reptile brain kicked right into self-preservation mode.
It made me laugh when I first saw it, and now. It also made me miss Mr. Gandolfini, and that show.

It just made me smile.

I said I was being partly facetious, about a fictional character and a fictional pet, but a deplorable failing in a lot of people. That line of dialogue was just another indication of Elizabeth's not so admirable traits.

I got a kick out of the reviewer's John Bonham reference. As a kid, I was fortunate enough to see Zeppelin in concert (three times!), so I know just how powerful those solos were. Very descriptive and made a good point…as did your comment.

Sounds very realistic and nuanced.
I'm really curious now. I'm a serious film and tv buff, but somehow I wasn't even really aware of "Happiness" till this conversation…don't know how I've missed it. I'll definitely have to check it out. Thanks for your input.
Oh, and thanks for the chuckles I've had every time I've

Yes, they have done an excellent job of making them all too human. And in this story, that's not always a good thing. They show the worst side of human nature more than you see in most of us (I hope).

It concerns me when anyone is an irresponsible pet owner. That doesn't mean I don't abhor murder (and I just stated elsewhere what I think of Elizabeth). You can care about what happens to both people and animals. One doesn't negate the other, and as I said I've seen the results of peoples' apathy or ignorance toward

I think Philip, although a killer (and I don't consider him a psycho), is a warmer human being than Elizabeth. They love their kids, yes and each other, but Elizabeth wouldn't have much trouble putting the Motherland above them or anyone else, whereas Philip grows more disillusioned all the time.
And anyone who could
