Yeah, you gotta just let the wind blow.
Yeah, you gotta just let the wind blow.
Yeah, the old car seemed like an extension of Norma. …a mess but still funny and likable.
Kinnear's first scene (the monster's "birth") is pretty ugly, traumatic for the monster and the viewer (as are some of his actions). Then he starts tugging at the old heart strings. Even his voice draws you in. People love Eva Green (as do I ) but Rory really makes the show for me. The whole ensemble is good. Josh…
I'm looking forward to watching it. Love the bird.
Right! Pure, typical Norma. How can someone be so delightful and annoying at the same time? Because she's the supremely talented Vera Farmiga! Sorry. ..answered my own question.
Yeah, this show can leave one feeling a little. ….disoriented. But pleasantly so.
More whiplash.
You'll like Penny Dreadful. Talk about atmospheric! And Rory Kinnear is a revelation. He's a fine Shakespearean actor who has the ability to make Frankenstein's monster heartbreakingly sympathetic (when he's not being scary as hell ).
Thanks for the recommendation to help fill the void. I trust your judgment. And also, thanks to others for their recommendations too.
Yep, that's me. You made the nice comment about Ky being pretty, right? Anything with a southern setting seems so….atmospheric. Definitely will watch Rectify. I like a show that'll give me a good cry.
Ha! Coal and snark. ….love it! You, Madam, are a kindred spirit. And yes, I felt a sharp little pain when you said "was". This is Tuesday. ..it'll feel like the empty vacuum of space tonight.
It was nice for a change. …she's usually so hyper. Sad too because it makes you think about what she might be like if life had gone differently for her.
It is. Just looked closer. ..appears to be smiling, too.
Wow. I'm intrigued. I might move on to that next. Thanks for the tip. Your avatar looks like it's waving. So cute!
True. Maybe Mr.Therapist is sufficiently frightened enough to never show his face again. ..run off into the hills and that's that.
Beautifully said.
Holy crap. That swirl of characters & images made me feel like I just ate ice cream too fast.
He also makes you remember that they loved each other innocently as children and comforted each other throughout a hellish childhood before the hormones (and twisted codependency) kicked in. And you can see the guilt over what he did after she tried to change written all over his face. He's had several scenes now…
I really liked Bunheads but don't remember that, just knew it was familiar. BTW (and off the subject but gotta say it ) cool username. Saw Bolan in concert when I was a kid, got some good pix…he was something else.
Yeah. This show makes you careen from a touching moment to one that makes your skin crawl and back again. Whiplash. …but enjoyable whiplash.
