In 1977, I was 12. Star Wars hit the scene with no fanfare, no toys, no videos, no tie-ins, no spoilers. If you wanted to see Star Wars stuff, you had to go to the movies and watch it again. And again. It took the market almost a year to catch up. The rest, as they say, is history.

If anyone should be offended it should be conservative white Americans. And I almost spit my coffee out on the triangle hat joke.
