Picture of Paul above with broken tooth is from well-known incident of his motor-bike accident (1966?). His upper lip was also deeply split inside his mouth, leading to a permanent change in his inner lip-line. The videos for "Rain" & "Paperback Writer" also show the results of the accident. No big mystery.
