You probably just need to pay more attention. Shadow postponed getting his head bashed in with the second game, that's all. As far as what it's all about, it's unclear in the book for now, too. Our journey is Shadow's journey, which means A) we're not supposed to understand more than he does, and B) getting his head

Both of these things played out pretty much exactly the way they did in the book. Also, as others have mentioned, you just weren't paying attention to the terms of the second game.

The leg shaving sequence in Cabin Fever is pretty gnarly.

Benicio Del Toro in the bathtub in Fear and Loathing.

It's not so bad now, but "HOW'S THE MAGGOTS, MICHAEL??" always used to get me.

A lot of things in Tommy made me sick, actually. I seem to remember a sort of iron maiden during the acid queen sequence that was pretty hard to deal with. I haven't seen it since high school.

BUT WHAT ABOUT TED RAIMI?!?!

Cooking that awesome looking dinner, in complete silence, was the closest Chuck has ever come to being likeable. Fuck Chuck, and long live Mike McKean!

Maybe they can bring in the PI to testify to that?

Interesting to see if him operating the tape recorder just fine will come into play re: his "illness".

Ok, thank you! I couldn't remember exactly what they said last week, and couldn't figure out exactly what the plan with the tape was this week, so it was bothering me the whole time.

I swear I remember Jimmy and Kim saying last week that they weren't going to go for the pre-trial diversion. Did I get that totally wrong?

Great, you just made me want a Coen Bros. adaptation of Master and Margarita. WAY TO GO!

that little prick!

Mike's in the last episode.

That is absolutely 100% without a doubt Mike as the Observer. I mean, just listen to him.

They're not hard to spot, they're the guys complaining about the fantastic and badly needed update of that character.

Hype train.

"And once the riffs get going, there’s a pleasing familiarity to the
whole affair, the allusions to two important, Nelsons—Prince Rogers and
Frank, not Michael J.—feeling like MST3K jokes of a timeless vintage."

Because everyone knows that's no way to make it in sketch comedy as a man. I mean, just ask those losers from Monty Python and Kids in the Hall. Eyerolling so hard I almost fell over.
