THINGS TO COME is great. It's much better than a B.

you're right! I will put down my sword

to give it another bad example, if Robert Altman released a movie that was a memoir of his career consisting of different revealing scenes and BTS footage from all of his movies, would ppl really be saying "these are just outtakes?"

Not really. A lot of the shots were never going to be in the movies anyway. My whole point is that these clips from different movies are edited together to create what I thought was a poetic and compelling whole. Reducing it to just outtakes is dumb. We don't do that with other movies. If there is some big stadium

I mean I really just feel this review refuses to see the poetry of this movie. It is hardly outtakes. That's such a simplistic way to look at it. Peter, you have become a pirate, as they say in HOOK.

I thought this movie was great and I disagree with this review. Unfortunately I can't be very articulate about it right now. But the complaints the review makes, that segments aren't necessarily connected or explained— that's life!!! I thought this movie had an amazing feel, and some of the clips that are cited as

TOWER is great

well I can't disagree with this. and I don't think he's bad or anything, I think he's made many great films. Just that his level of popularity with people like that seems a little disconnected from his accomplishments, in light of how few great filmmakers many of these people are aware of. And i never thought he was

the meme-ification of Herzog is really depressing and lame. I was just at a film festival and his new doc was absolutely packed, mostly with young people. before the movie started I heard so much chatter "oh, do you know he was SHOT during an interview…" and "[bad impression here x 100]". The doc was fine. There were

I was walking down the street and was randomly corralled into a preview for THE MATRIX. The audience laughed at the movie for the first half hour, and then were completely won over and crazy for it by the end. After the movie I couldn't stop telling people they had to see it when it came out, convinced it would bomb!

that's our production company logo, a very brazen ripoff of a childhood staple for us as well!
