I mean she was just following orders at that point… She's definitely implicated in this. But she wasn't directly responsible for Susan. This wasn't Felicity's mess to clean. It was Thea's.

Oliver was essentially trapping Felicity into being a step-mom (and all the legal/financial obligations that come with that) without her knowledge. She should've walked away. While she could've heard him out, the end result should've been the same.

Felicity didn't know what Thea was up to. How was she directly responsible? She was just doing what Thea asked her to do…

I guess she came off as shady to me when she screwed over Thea. That instantly made her a character I couldn't root for haha, that's all I meant.

LOL while this is true… I'm not sure why, but the writers are so desperate to make Susan relevant that they have to make Oliver bend over backwards to the point where he's just not easy to root for anymore.

Oliver: Kills Billy - Felicity's boyfriend *accidentally*
Oliver a few episodes later: Asks Felicity (his ex-fiance whose boyfriend he just killed recently) to help him get back together with Susan even though she was clearly uncomfortable with the idea
Me: That is so messed up

I think it's because of how Iris capitulated to Barry… She saw the future and practically told Barry "erm sure… I guess since the future dictates this"

Just because she got fired as CEO doesn't mean the shares that were given to her magically disappear. She's still loaded.

Iris: I love you, Barry

Right?! Even Oliver, the most emotionally stunted guy, could do better.I really side eye Barry.

In regards to the Iris part… That would actually mean The Flash, as a show, would have to start caring about the women on their show…

If this is it… The writers need to go back and learn how to write romance lol Everything about Barry/Iris seemed like they were ticking off a checklist.

I mean he started out well… But then it imploded from there. The proposal had no heart or soul in it.

You know nothing about journalism… I've repeated it a hundred times to deaf ears. It's unethical. It's wrong. It won't send Susan to jail but it would sure get her fired.

All the news companies I've worked for as a journalist gave me a handbook on ethics and what rules reporters need to abide by - if you don't you're most likely to be fired. You know what's in the handbook? Not sleeping with your subjects. Why? It's simply NOT ethical.

Ummm trust me. Coming from someone who used to work in the industry, it's unethical and WRONG to sleep with someone you're investigating for a story. It would've gotten her fired - at least - that's the experience I've had with my bosses.
