I get that he had a rough day… I really do. But Idk I think that hte writers were so desperate to make Oliver look innocent (after the initial outrage after 408) which in turn made Felicity get the short end of the stick. But I'm not going to subscribe to that. I think that the breakup was necessary and I honestly

Thank you for having an open mind :) I want to hug you right now because some people are so bullheaded. I even saw one person say that Felicity has Stockholm Syndrome… ????

The lie was bullshit in the first place and continued to be bullshit until everyone found out. It was dumb and contrived.

If you look at my comments below you'll understand my point :) I'm tired of writing the same thing over and over again tbh lol

I said this before and I'll say it here…

I try ;) I honestly don't blame Samantha for being weary of Oliver. I just hate how she handled the situation with the ridiculous ultimatum tbh especially after Oliver proposed to Felicity. And I still don't understand why Samantha would let Oliver visit his son (he said he'd been visiting Central City in episode

I guess people are annoyed that Samantha, a woman who's lied to Oliver for 10 years (5 of which I can pardon) is given honesty when the people who actually deserve honesty aren't given the same courtesy.

I responded to you twice. I'm so sorry. I'm really loopy right now from all my pain meds. Had my wisdom teeth taken out and am bored. :p

LOL So you're saying that hte show should PANDER to the comic purists even though the EPs and even Stephen have said ad nauseum that this is THEIR version of the story and not a direct adaptation?

So you think Oliver letting Feliicty/Diggle think they're going to die in that chamber in S3 worse (something that can potentially be extremely traumatic? DO you think that Oliver not telling FElicity he was going to sacrifice himself NOT worse? What about when Oliver told Felicity he loved her, thereby playing with

And I hate that. I think they gave Felicity the short end of the stick because they're spooked by the negative reaction to this ridiculous storyline. So in an episode where Oliver was meant to look like he made a mistake, the writers tried really REALLY hard to make him look good which ended up with throwing Felicity

Honestly though, I think Oliver needs to learn not to shut people out, especially Felicity. A break up is a way for him to finally get his act back together so I'll allow Felicity walking away. Also I think that she probably needs some time away from him too because she has feelings as well.

I want Oliver to literally EARN her trust back, so any rejection after that will have to make Oliver look like a complete too tbh. Seriously, when it comes to relationships, Oliver never works for them. It's annoying. Everyone always just forgives him for the stupid crap he does. Ugh

Alasdair made a good point below because that's exactly how I saw the scene. It wasn't about Felicity wanting to be a part of the decision, but wanting Oliver to at least give her a heads up because that's what you do in a marriage. You let your partner know about a huge decision you're about to make.

And how does this lie protect Felicity? How does this lie protect William, tell me?

The way Felicity found out in the Flash episode… Yeah she didn't react well and I didn't like her reaction at all. And this is coming from a fan of hers.

Lol no. If you actually considered what Felicity was saying she wanted to be a sounding board FOR OLIVER. Not for the kid. This was nothing to do about the kid and everything to do about the upcoming marriage which Oliver clearly isn't ready for.

I agree the writers should've written that scene better. But I still find it hilarious that it's Oliver who makes a mistake for MONTHS yet it's Felicity who gets the hate for saying a couple of lines that can be easily misinterpreted.

Like I said before, it's not like this is the first time Oliver has kept Felicity out of major decisions (remember the crappiness of season 3 where he didn't tell her and left her and her friends to "DIE"? Felicity forgave him for all that but she never forgot. There's always a pattern with Oliver. And when Oliver

Sorry, I've dealt with people with PTSD and the worst thing one can do is coddle them. When you make a mistake, you let them know and let them feel the consequences of thier actions. Oliver has lied so many times and yet has never faced the consequences of those lies. And if he kept doing what he was doing, obviously
