Episode 100 is probably when this would happen which is season 5 episode 8 of Arrow which is kismet because that's their crossover episode lol

It's not just that. There's a lot more tbh and I don't really want to type it all out. But with what Guggenheim said in that EW article about how it's time for a superhero to die, Quentin not being close to Felicity or Oliver at all especially after Emily Bett mentioned that it would be someone who's close to her…

I guess this is me saying, ship what you want to ship. But don't bring the word 'pandering' into the argument because it's a lame argument to begin with and one that doesn't hold

Wouldn't the show switching routes like this especially after the show spending 3 seasons building up Oliver/Felicity's relationship mean that they're pandering lauriver shippers???

It was such bullsh*t when the show tried to even hint last episode that Oliver had to keep the secret from Felicity for William's safety. That was ridiculous.

The same one she and everyone else put Sara in???

Issue is that, that plot point could've been an emotional goldmine and they didn't even bother with it. What a shame.

I appreciate your open-mindedness Butts :)

I have hopeful news for you… It seems like the death is going to happen in episode 18 which was written by Marc Guggenheim and Keto (who always write the Laurel centric episodes)

He does nuanced sadness WAY better than over the top anger (which results in a lot of growling as episode 413 proved lol)

I think Alasdair made a good point below because that's exactly how I saw the scene. It wasn't about Felicity wanting to be a part of the decision, but wanting Oliver to at least give her a heads up because that's what you do in a marriage. You let your partner know about a huge decision you're about to make.

Like I said below, I don't think what pushed Felicity over the edge was Oliver making that impossible choice. I think she was going to forgive him until he YET AGAIN showed that he doesn't value her as a true partner by not being open to her about this huge decision he's about to make.

Exactly what I meant. Thank you! I'm not as articulate as you :p

She's hoping they'd rub off on her I'm sure.

lol, it's not going to happen and I say that with 100% confidence.

If she didn't do it then, she'd have to do it later which would give Oliver a sliver of hope. Don't you think that's more cruel? Rip the bandaid off, kill an animal that's suffering (and can't get better) and whatnot… I would've hated it more if she waited.

I think the moment that pushed her over the edge was when Oliver ONCE AGAIN decided to keep her out of a major life decision (to walk away from William), which must've also stung considering her relationship with her father.

After the mother of the child lied to Oliver for 10 years (I can pardon her for 5), she doesn't deserve his honesty. This whole storyline made little sense and made Oliver look liek an idiot tbh

I honestly don't really understand how people think she was in the wrong by walking away from Oliver in this episode… I've never seen more hate towards her character than after this episode. It makes no sense considering it's OLIVER who lied to her in the first place and kept on keeping her out of huge life decisions

And then Felicity burns the toast in the morning and Oliver goes: "This was my fault"
