That's unkind.
Lots of gay men wear drab clothes, especially in New York.
There's a huge Old Navy store in Chelsea, for cryin' out loud.
As for John being loved, Andy Zaltzman whimpers his name in his sleep.

Too soon!

"Nobody from that season is expected to appear, …"
I, for one, will expect the unexpected.

Rhea wuz robbed! Who certified the votes, Hamlin Hamlin and McGill?

Yeah, now that's he's doing "Talking @Midnight" every night at 12:30 with the exact same panel, it's getting ridiculous.

I described Gilgun's performance as "Barry Fitzgerald Meets Beetlejuice"

Ditto. Without the source familiarity, I found it more intriguing than annoying.

In re Ernesto: I read that as a rare and welcome moment of class consciousness on TV. In a pinch, working drone Ernie instinctively seeks to protect someone he perceives as "one of his own" rather than the man he has come to know all too well is a self-absorbed tyrant.
I actually cheered out loud.
Fight the Power,

As a bald man I am both insulted and impressed by this analysis.

Bee and Oliver are both very good and have similar styles (derived in large part from TDS, of course). Bee makes use of that faux-60-minutes-style edited film report bit that TDS excelled at - eg the refugees in Jordan - while Oliver mostly stays at the desk and has "conversations" with film clips a la John Stewart.

Bee is amazing. After last week, any time I hear a news story about Rape Kits, I will think of her asking "Does this spark joy?" before throwing one out.

Really great thread here - some adds:

I have been wanting a flashback to Jimmy as a kid - aching for one - since Season 1. I loved how that scene both confirmed and subtly undermined what Chuck had said. Now I need to see the two brothers at home and hear their mom say, "You're gonna amount to something, Chuck - not like Jimmy or your goddam father."

Well, S&C does have two female senior partners, which is two more than HHM has. I thought that was a great touch.

Mind BLOWWWWWWWWWWN!

It's a cookbook!

That's a clue. Get therapy.

I need to add more plusses to this.

Whatever happened to Rebecca???

Nice!
