It is famous but it's not that good, except for Tim Curry.

MattS assesses the Love, Actually relationships! (Yes, I have seen this movie way too many times.)
Oddly, the Friends creatives kept dipping into the poisoned well of Ross and Rachel but they did an excellent job with the unexpected and surprisingly sweet Chandler/Monica relationship.
She's just a little bi-curious.
Slightly off topic, but Misery has to be in the top three King film adaptations, right? I'd rank them thusly:
I love Say Anything but I think the film is very honest about the prospects for their relationship. It's not that they're perfect for each other for all eternity, it's that they're perfect for each other at that moment in their lives. I like to think they'd grow apart but remember their time together fondly.
In the movies, yeah, because Tom Felton is great. I don't think Draco is much of a character in the books, he's very one-note with a touch of unearned redemption.
If I'm putting my shipping hat on I've always loved Harry with Luna. Although that could be due largely to my own preference for the Lunas of the world.
What does "fridge" mean in this context?
On the topic of concessions, one of the best things about the 70mm "Roadshow" of The Hateful Eight was the intermission. I saw it twice, once in digital and once in 70mm and the one with the intermission played so much better. You get to take a beer break in the middle! Good for the viewer, good for the theater.
It's my favorite.
Another guest at my family party always brings ribs so I never get a chance to make them for the 4th, don't want to step in anybody's toes.
They're French gherkins in vinegar and tarragon. Great on a cheese plate.
If you've got some white wine and limes…
I love raspberry coulis! I make it for desert with French vanilla.
Fourth of July Food Thread!
Better Fourth of July movie, 1776 or Jaws?
Wait, we didn't like the last season of Venture Bros.? The show's a little long in the tooth, but it's still great when it's on.
There should never be more than one dot.
I would totally watch a miniseries about The Year of the Five Emperors. Though if you thought Maximus was going to usher in a new era of Republican Rome you're going to be disappointed.
