Are you sure that's how it really happened?

Not to get too spoiler-y but the advance chapters from Winds of Winter indicate that Euron is an entirely different kind of villain. However, we don't know if D&D will use any of that material.

Joffrey was petulant, cruel, incompetent, and craven. He was so much fun to watch.

Yeah, he died in March. He was 84, so at least he had a good run. TCM ran some excellent retrospectives on his life and work afterwards. Alec Baldwin was particularly moving, talking about co-hosting The Essentials with Osbourne.

Suicide Kings isn't bad, fun performances and some good grift scenes.

But it does function as a mystery. The killer is teased early on and exposed at the end, through detective work. The larger conspiracy is only vaguely addressed and that pissed a lot of people off, but it’s only there to add depth to the world of the show. There’s no reason to answer every conceivable question over

I think you might be conflating two movies. Spacey accidentally rips his containment suit and freaks out a bit, immediately exiting the lab. It has no immediate effect. Later on, he’s seen in a hospital bed talking to Rene Russo, he looks like he’s about to die but he never actually does. IIRC, that’s the last you

I can't imagine Fat Booker Dewitt being much use in Columbia, he'd be wheezing after the first firefight.

Sure, I used Lost as an example because it leaned into the fan theorizing to an extent. It was multi-season, and they addressed a lot of the fandom's concerns after reading the feedback. True Detective was already finished when it aired, it was always a one-shot deal for that set of characters.

I forgot he was Cordell! He was so great. I love his speech to Hannibal about how he's going to prepare his flesh for dinner and you can see Hannibal's wheels turning like, "Well, I don't want to die, but that does sound delicious."

The second season isn't as bad as its reputation. Farrell and McAdams are both very good, and I love me a good labyrinthine Los Angeles corruption plot. It's also got some excellent (if a bit ridiculous) gunfights. Not every show has a Rust Cohle.

It was one of those weird instances when fans wanted to figure out the end-game of a show that wasn’t based on plot. True Detective was a character study. Plot was secondary and interesting only in how it made the characters react. People were trying to find the answers to questions that the creators couldn’t have

Yeah, maybe he did. It's been a while. We need an Outbreak superfan to stop by and set this straight. There are Outbreak superfans, right?

Like Shore Leave would ever think that.

That's also got, "Don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired". Commando rules.

We're off to see the Arnie
The wonderful Arnie of Aus(tria)
Because, because, because, because
Because of the macho things he does

Goddamn it. I did read it. I'll never get those six seconds back. I could've used them to craft more dumb Predator jokes.

Oh, that was her! I don't know how I ever would've gotten along without Bungalow Bill!

Is that an actual article?

An early cut of the movie contained a romantic tête-à-tête in the style of His Girl Friday between Schwarzenegger and the Predator but it was cut when test audiences objected to the abusiveness of the relationship.
