Oh, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I just wouldn't rank it with Pan's Labyrinth, The Devil's Backbone, or Hellboy 2.

I'm excited to see what he does with Star Wars but I wish we were getting a Johnson original. Hopefully, Star Wars scores him a big-budget "one for me", Nolan style.

One of my favorite stories is how David Hyde Pierce had his name removed from the Hellboy credits because he felt it was Doug Jones' role. DHP seems like such a cool guy.

Crimson Peak was only two years ago. It wasn't as good as his best stuff, but it was pretty recent.

It was a Friends reference:

That show always had income-savvy production design. Extra points for the Godzilla figure and the afghan draped over the sofa.

So Chandler's job as a transpondster pays that well?

George's job title is "Assistant to the Traveling Secretary" (the traveling secretary is Mr. Wilhelm). Quick googling reveals that a traveling secretary makes anywhere between $60K and $125K (depending on competency and experience). It's unlikely that George was making enough to pay for the apartment but successful

Elliot's place in Mr. Robot seems pretty realistic.

"How often does the train go by?"
"So often you don't even notice it!"

Scripts that don't suck cock by choice.

To be fair, Deadwood never shied away from the occasional cock shot.

Hopefully Zombie Wolcott. I just want to see another scene as good as his speech to Mose Manuel:

I kind of want to read one. I love history. The last three books I read were Simon Schama's Citizens, Thomas Asbridge's The Crusades, and Tom Holland's In the Shadow of the Sword. I really want to know what O'Reilly sounds like in that company.

A post so well-phrased that "even the ladies on The View can understand it".

I'm honestly considering buying his latest book (Amazon description below):

The sows I court tend to love it.

May they all be Kirk Cameron-esque, low-budget abortions funded by the Christian right.

I should point out that that request never actually came to fruition.

Assuming he's fired, he'll be on another platform inside of a year. Or he'll just fall back on writing shitty, bestselling history books.
