Not only that, but he painted in 24hrs, having been given very little info about the content of the movie itself.

Oh shit, regular hulu? I was just thinking about how I wanted to rewatch it, and was bummed that it wasn't on Netflix any more.

I was about to say "but I had a Jubilee figure!" but after a quick google search it looks like the one I had wasn't based on her cartoon design, even though it did have the yellow coat. Huh. Never got a Jean Grey, since I already had Phoenix, who had the better costume (and light up hair!), though I do remember seeing

I feel like the 90s had it a bit better in general when it came to the availability of female action figures, compared to today. Kid me was able to get my hands on almost all the female X-men I wanted (except for Rogue, who was of course, my favorite*). I had a Catwoman, but I think she was the only female character

I'd swap Mercury with Moon, but otherwise you've got it pretty right. Of course Jupiter is the best! I'd rank the outers like this:

Apparently no one on TV knows how to use a mouse either.

I'd been doing okay reading these comments, but right now just the realization that Michael Palin will die one day has made me tear up.

I started watching X Files for this first time recently and I definitely get where you're coming from. I went in knowing that the conspiracy stuff will ultimately amount to a bunch of nonsense and that the later seasons went to shit, and in spite of all that I still fell for the show pretty hard. Right now I'm about

Do you think it's worth catching up on then? I apparently stopped just before they finally got together, in part because I was tired of the writers dragging that shit out and in part because the show seemed determined to do more dramatic/heavier episodes, and that type of writing had never been the show's strong point.

The Castle arc is where they lost me. I still have it in my RSS reader though, and every now and then I consider catching up.

My guess is that he got several frantic phone calls from Robert Pattinson, warning him to get out while he had the chance.

Good pick. I haven't ordered the dvds yet, but when I get them I'm going to have to space out my rewatch a bit. That show got pretty hard to watch (in a good way) towards the end of the season, thanks to Will's descent. Marathoning multiple episodes in a row might not be the best idea.

The chapter in Uzumaki where the protagonists father becomes obsessed with spirals is a great example of this trope.  The follow-up to the story that deals with the traumatic effect that his obsession has had on his wife is great too.
