Actually, wait until his performance in Avengers 4 doesn't live up to his performance in Avengers 3. Then it's all aboard the hate train. It'll help if you pretend you didn't hear about his cheating until 2019.

Season 4 is excellent. A total departure from the previous three seasons—it was no longer a vanity project or Louie rip-off by that point. Too bad they stopped with that season.

Didn't Jack even do a story where the Nazis briefly brainwashed Cap to do their bidding? Tales of Suspense 66 & 67? I get that the timing is bad, and the story seems not that interesting, but I agree the Watchmen thing seems like a bigger "fuck you" than the "Cap as Hydra" storyline.

Battlefield: Earth is mine as well. At least I can say it was a free screening and none of my money was involved.
I do agree with everything Katie said about Watchmen, however, although I can't really argue with people who love it other than to say, read the graphic novel (again, if necessary).

Why would anyone choose between the two? Can't we love both?

There's still one sacred cow amongst old rich comedians: other old rich comedians.

I think I agree with everything you wrote but you used a lot of big ideas and words and I have to go home.

Because that's what Hollywood does, I guess? Which is why I don't begrudge the movie's box office haul as much as the accolades and awards. And I do want to point out that I don't subscribe to the belief that a work of art needs to be a work of history. But if you're going to completely ignore the most interesting

"American Sniper does not depict Kyle writing a best-selling memoir or hawking it on talk shows, styling himself as a right-wing culture wars hero, telling tall tales about shooting Hurricane Katrina looters or about beating Jesse Ventura in a fight at a funeral."

I think you just answered your own question.

This whole American Sniper thing is making me flashback to the Passion of the Christ hoopla. Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL Jesus.

It's still far better than any of the sequels. One of the great 80s action pics after Die Hard and Terminator.

Which one is Cookie, and why should I care?

This article is very helpful, because now I know to discount anything Todd VanDerWerff, Carrie Raisler, and Mike Vago say.

Thanks for the info. I've read the history books (including Sean Howe's) too.
IMO, it doesn't matter whose decision it was or whether or not it was planned. It was a surprise because that's how Marvel handled such things back then. They didn't send out a press release five months before publication announcing that they

What tipped you off? Certainly not the press release announcing the mini-series that sets up the mini-series that eventually kills him off five months from now—in honor of his 40th anniversary?
I understand that comic books love to kill off characters and bring them back, but nothing pisses me off more than these

Those are some of my favorite parts. That train scene in Spider-Man 2 and the ferry scenes are amazing. I love superheroes as much as anyone, but a little human drama can be good, too.
