And yes, he was terrifying. His descent into madness was legitimately disturbing.

Vincent Price was absolutely magnificent. "Goodbye, So Soon" is a deliciously over the top song that fits him perfectly. He chews the hell out of his scenes.
Kronk is my spirit animal.
Well, "Lion King" was a remake of "Hamlet". The story is pretty strong.
I remember a reviewer who said without irony that "Parks and Rec" satirized both sides of the political aisle equally. I found the comment so absurd as to be laughable. The clear message of the show is that if everybody acted like Leslie Knope and agreed with Leslie Knope, the world would be a better place. Ron was a…
I had a Myth and Culture teacher who considered "Tangled" one of Disney's best movies because it's one of the only ones that sticks to the "mytheme" of the original fairy tale - as in, for all its changes and adaptations, the message and meaning of the story actually is the same as what was originally intended.
It does have some beautiful moments. Carl's "It's just a house" is a beautifully delivered, pitch-perfect line. It's just…dogs in biplanes. It was amusing enough but just didn't fit the tone set by the opening.
It's a bold, ambitious, complex failure that utterly bastardizes the real relationships between the natives and colonists and portrays John Smith in such a shockingly positive way as to be kind of disgusting.
I do know some people with depression who found it to be unbelievably moving, so I tend to give it more credit than might meet the eye.
The first ten minutes or so of "Up" are some of the best in movie history. The rest of the movie was pretty good but the first scene was so remarkable it was just about impossible to measure up.
I have more admiration for PIXAR than just about any other studio, with the possible exception of Studio Ghibli. "The Incredibles" is both PIXAR's best film and the best superhero movie ever made, mostly because Brad Bird is a genius and arguably the best director in Hollywood.
I despise the Elsa stuff, though "Let it Go" is a great song. Though I suppose it can work if you stop thinking of "Let it Go" as a good moment and instead think of it as the "Hakuna Matata" of the film - sure it's entertaining and awesome, but at the same time it's the moment where Elsa decides to completely stop…
I don't know if ANYTHING is true. "Pinocchio's" animation is absolutely, unbelievably stunning. Seriously. You can rewatch it with the sound off and marvel at it. It's unbelievable.
"Pocahontas" is a crap movie, but I'd be willing to at least listen to the case that "Colors of the Wind" and "Just Around the River Bend" are the best songs of the Renaissance.
Also, "The Great Mouse Detective" is underrated and awesome.
I disagree with your brief analysis of "The Lion King". It's true that Simba is not the most interesting character, but so what? Neither is Belle; the Beast is far more layered and complex. And Simba is defined by that wonderful grief and relationship with Mufasa, perfectly handled. "Circle of Life" is the most…
I'm hoping it gets funnier, but so far I'm really liking that razor's edge of "these people are crazy" and "by the way, there actually are aliens, including reptilians, so maybe not".
Will Rick? Really? This group of people? Because they don't seem like that group of people. And Negan is awfully sure of himself that they're not.
Trump LOST the popular vote by something like 2 million…
