True, but if he hadn't she wouldn't be Queen.

Nah, he's just an emo teenager.

The world of ASOIAF is basically the late Middle Ages, sans gunpowder and with magic. Yet, it looks as those things haven't advanced at all since Aegon the Conqueror, and even in the centuries before that. What are the Maesters doing? Their civilization should have advanced, but it's been totally stagnant. In the

Those are separate events. It was a way of showing how past, present, and future are all the same to him.

It is, because wildfire itself is. Just like when Tyrion used it. A quick, easy, lazy solution. At least now they have the excuse of needing to quickly wrap things up.

Agreed.

They could indicate the passage of time without having to show us the endless marching, etc. - that would be too much like The Lord of the Rings, which was colossally boring. It would actually make the rapid ageing of some characters, like Arya, make more sense.

They could have achieved the same results with the people around her being competent. There are still signs of the old Cersei, though, the lack of subtlety - e.g. her destruction of the Sept of Baelor, which was more just a deus ex machina to axe a bunch of plotlines they wouldn't have the time to deal with properly.

I figured he was seeing a future wedding to a non-rapist, a way of them showing that he sees all, knows all but like Dr. Manhattan has a hard time telling what's happened yet. "Spoilers, Sansa!"

Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer to find out what he's planning. :-)

An evil and stupid Cersei is more fun. She was always "profoundly stupid" in the books, her success over Ned Stark and others was always just more due to them underestimating her evil.

Now Jon just needs to get a few undocumented workers from the parking lot and get mining that shit! :-)

Yes, unfortunately that doesn't work. Consider the size of Westeros, and how long it would have taken Jon, even at sea, to get all the way from Winterfell to Dragonstone. Or the Lannister army, marching on land with medieval roads, getting to Highgarden. I wonder what Daenerys was doing for those months while she

You should care, because if they're basically just teleporting all over the place it makes a story kind of pointless.

Well, he did dabble in the flesh trade.

They should have gone with fistbumps. This is an alien world, after all. And probably a better move for Sam. I wonder if he ran off to wash his hands.

Maybe Doran wasn't such a pussy after all.

Daenerys seems like she's forgotten all about that little talk with Tyrion where he suggested replacing the absolute monarch with a democracy. Instead of trying to recruit an ally she's all about making him "bend the knee."

This is one of the most irritating changes from the books - TV Cersei is actually competent. Evil, but competent.

I'm disappointed she's dead, or will be, but she went out in a cool way. I thought it might have been a great twist, though, if at the end of it all she sat on the Iron Throne. Too bad!
