I'll just go ahead and say David Lynch. I understand that he's great, and that my failure to get into his stuff lies entirely with me, but I just have never been able to connect with his particular brand of weirdness. I do appreciate a lot of what he does (the sound design in Eraserhead is incredible, and Mulholland
