You might want to re-read the whole article. He mentions it being unfortunate for a number of reasons, including the women affected.

I made it through two clauses of this review's opening sentence and realized I had no desire to see this.

It most certainly was. The time and resources devoted to crafting a show for Bonet could have been spent on something else. If "Different World" bombed and was cancelled after a single year, NBC likely wouldn't give him nearly as good a deal the next time.

Let's say hypothetically that a children's television show doesn't contain a morals clause. A regular adult actor/actress opts to do perfectly legal hardcore porn videos on the side. When the videos are released, there is plenty of press/reviews commenting on the actor/actress's other role.

I miss Dave Kendall. That is all.

I think Bill Cosby is easily in list for top five greatest (well-known) stand-ups of all time.

Yeah, but that's not how the entertainment industry works. Doing things that potentially upset a "brand" get you in hot water.

I didn't see your thread when I wrote my comment above but…have you seen Angel Heart? Watching it for the first time in years this past weekend, I could totally understand the position of Cosby on that one. Or I would have understood if, you know, he wasn't a serial rapist.

I just re-watched "Angel Heart" this past week for the first time in 20 years. I absolutely loved it, but was shocked about just how graphic it was. I cannot imagine a film like that being released as an R-rated film and playing at multiplexes in 2016.

Bill Cosby is a black man, born in the Depression era to working class parents, who became one of the most beloved and admired men in all of America by the mid-1980s. He never played a racist caricature during his rise, which I imagine took some principle on his part.

And a slacker. A nice kid, though, but the recurring issue was that he didn't focus or think things through, and it would come back and bite him.

I haven't heard it that way, so I'll have to take a look for that. My recollection of the story (and observation hearing the audience reaction) is that when Theo gets finished with his spiel, a few members of the audience clap, but they immediately switch sides when Cliff responds. If they switched audiences because

She and Scott Patterson (Luke) allegedly did not like each other at all. Doesn't necessarily mean either one of them is a bad person, though.

Yeah, I could see the argument of overcompensation applying in some cases, but not others (including for me, I hope).

Actually, I'd support someone Fuller's perspective as the Editor-in-Chief or Ombudsman of the AV Club. It would likely slow the website's slide into Upworthy territory.

I'm honestly just hoping that Chris Eigeman gets to reprise his role as Jason Stiles. Mainly because I'm getting worried that I haven't seen him in anything for nearly a decade…

No way comparable to Clooney on ER. She was a minor character meant to add flavor.

He's still a multimillionaire. He'll still have people who will fawn over him. There are some women who would still (consensualy!) have sex with him.

And to think that they arrested that poor man over the holidays! Simply shameful.

I am honestly shocked that Trump hasn't tried using Tina Turner's "Simply the Best" as his campaign song.
