I just heard an interview with Lynton where he stated that they had been in contact with the White House regarding the hacking, but had not talked about scuttling the movie. The article makes it seem like they had spoken about that, which, in fact, they had not.

It sounds like a good idea, but I don't know if it's practical. This article didn't really have much to discuss, unless you are into a "I'm depressed about getting older" thread and the nature of the troll is to strike a nerve that elicits a response. People are going to want to talk about something so out of the

"Do we have any suspects for who burnt down this house?"
"Just an ordinary guy."

Like Phish asking what a poth-ead is on the Simpsons?

China is a big country and can handle some refugees and sometimes things need to get worse before they get better. What happened to all of the East Germany military and political elite when the Berlin wall fell. The only thing backing that up was the Soviets. Same deal with Korea. No Chinese aid, bye bye Kim.

So you are saying people shouldn't make comments like this: "Sorry, this shit is a lot less funny to me when their first reply to me was a direct threat to rape me for being gay." because that is what it wants to hear? Or is it all right to talk to other people about it as long as it isn't directly addressed?

With? Why "with" when "at their expense" is more appropriate? I've read a few hundred rape jokes since this Cosby thing, I think we can handle a psychotic troll joke here and there.
*faints dead away*

Oddly, it only seemed to reply to emotions of hatred, fear and disgust. Joy, not so much.

The AVClub

Careful, they're ruffled!

It keeps getting funnier every single time I see it!

^ "not a prime number"

Yeah, people come to WitWICE for the comedy.
I personally think making the troll into a joke removes it's power, whereas repeatedly stating how offensive it is and how what is it is doing is so important that we can't allow ourselves to laugh at it is pure troll food.

Oh no, permanently stuck on a page that no one will read in a week. Egads!
Perhaps you could say that all the humorless scolds complaining about a harmless joke, yourself included, are what made this page worse. Have a Merry Christmas!

Ayatollah Asshola!

I've got a problem where I feel like I have to answer every reply I get, no matter how stupid.

I'm also a fan of "shithook" because it's either a hook made out of shit or hook made specifically for shit. You know, an insult that really makes you think.

It's Sacco and Vanzetti all over again.
Edit: didn't see your post, HG. It's kind of scary when we think so much alike.

Forget invading, I'm all for the delivery of tactical nuclear warheads. Seriously, though, from a humanitarian viewpoint, North Korea is the worst country in the world and China is a piece of shit for supporting the regime there.

That and about 150 pounds.
I'm glad that you think that being falsely accused of agreeing with the most detestable poster on the AVClub is small potatoes. Also, saying that someone is a sociopath(ie, no empathy or remorse) is also nothing to get excited about, right? How about I just lie down and open my mouth so you
