Belew wrote on his blog that Eno saw him play with Zappa in Germany and called Bowie who was looking for a guitarist. He snuck out to a restraunt and me t Bowie where they were bagged by Zappa in a whacky sit com style moment. Zappa kept calling Bowie 'Captain Tom' to his face which sounds uncomfortable.
