This is great to hear.  Didn't love the season by any means, but it would be a major betrayal of the show's MO that nothing is throwaway.  Christ, even when they got turned into zombies it was part of the canon.

Roth only directed the pilot.  Deran Safarian (TERMINAL VELOCITY) directed most of them.  Not that it's possible to distinguish his episodes from anyone else's.

Looks like Christmas is next week.  The air version had a brief promo for it before a blooper reel (instead of the "Daybreak" tag, which is what they showed on air last week instead of the Sophie B Hawkins tag).
