I'm watching too. :) I remember that Connor gets better as the series goes on, but yeah, at this point he's a dick. I suppose being raised in Quor'toth doesn't help matters but man, what a jerk. He was a complete ass to Gunn and Fred, we find out in the premiere. So I'll be glad when we're past that part of the story.

I have not heard or heard of this song before. Yow it's bad.

Hasn't worked so well for the Washington football team. Oh wait. Wrong Snyder.

I didn't watch MP on a regular basis and missed the Wagner Era. But I can see how such a scene would be memorable (I remember Frisco Jones from General Hospital, and it hurts to admit that).

I really liked these books when I first read them, although I probably have only read eight or ten, and those many moons ago. I think this has great potential as a series since the books themselves really are a series. Plenty of routes for the storytellers to take. I hope they keep the alternate reality stuff, like

Was visiting with family on Saturday and discovered that there are way, way too many mixes and remixes of Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round." Also, cheesy 80s videos remain cheesy 30+ years later.

There's already two or three Japanese live-action DeathNote movies, so it doesn't seem so bad for this one to be Westernized. I just hope they do it right.

I don't know if it will happen but I would totally watch this. I hope it happens.

Not yet. Haven't seen it on Netflix, which is where I watched season 1. I'm behind on Arrow too.

I have found CW's The Flash to be a nice antidote for all of that. I know it's not Marvel, but it's fun, dammit.

Until the movie studios stop panicking at the idea of an idea/franchise without an existing recognition factor, yes, we're stuck with a lot of these.

Saw that yesterday and my daughter wants to see The BFG. I'm thinking we should do that first if we do it in a theater, since it will likely leave quickly given the box office performance so far.

I will quite likely see this and even though I want to see it myself, I can just say well, the kids wanted to see it… :D

I will miss him, too. Pryce did a great job of playing the humble role while so obviously not being humble.

This is what I was thinking, too. Arya can kill, but can she cook? Far easier to just stick a finger into a pie and cover it with crust, right?

I'd say that title shows hope, but doesn't mean that spring will actually happen in that book, or even any time soon. While in the grip of winter, there is a dream of spring.

I don't mind The Eagles, I like several of their songs but — influence? I don't think I've heard anyone cite The Eagles as an influence. Or is it just that Hotel California has become kind of inescapable?

I agree. Also, it's easy to play the "I would…" game. ;) At any rate, I was willing to believe that a young kid, who's spent years in hiding, and now believed he had a chance to be reunited with family, would not think so rationally about how to dodge arrows.

But fridging means the character died just to provide motivation for someone to go on a warpath, right? If Margaery dies, who is that? Tommen? Doesn't seem so. Olenna or Mace or Kevan? The only one that vested in Margaery seems to be her grandmother, and I'm not sure the Tyrells could take down the crown anyway.

Spock: Captain, don't do the thing.
Kirk: I'm going to do the thing!
