Exactly. It's right up there with people who decide to have ask me anything Twitter tags after they do stupid stuff and then are stunned when people slam them with the stupid stuff.

I am continually baffled by people in PR, advertising, marketing, etc., who don't ever seem to realize when things will look bad to the public. I know sometimes you have to take a chance, but honestly.
I saw the headline and thought, "She'd be a great Media." Bingo!
He did but either way, it is not listed as an IMDb credit. Now I'm very curious.
It would, and while certainly the writers can make mistakes, I just can't help feeling this is part of a plan by Margaery. It might backfire, which would be typical GoT, but I still think it's her plan.
That is an excellent word! Can I borrow it? It fits a lot of Gaiman's stuff perfectly.
I posted this in the newbies' area so I won't repeat the whole thing, but I think Margaery has a plan and is executing it as best she can with no help. She has managed, whether her conversion is real or not, to get Tommen out from under Cersei's influence and to set the city and the faith and even Tommen himself…
I may be overestimating her, but I think Margaery has a plan, and it's a long-reaching one. I don't think she has turned completely to the faith. I think she's faking it enough to be believable. And if it's true that the best lie has some truth in it, perhaps Margaery DOES see how the Sparrow would see her actions —…
GRRM has played a little with fairly common names, changing the spellings to make them look a little different. Not all the names — Robert is Robert, for example, and Jon is not uncommon — but some. Eddard instead of Edward, Rickard instead of Richard, Catelyn, pron. Cat-Lynn instead of Kate-Lynn. The women's names…
Which Ys?
"Fortunately, the Milk" and "The Wolves in the Walls" are great. I have to admit I love pretty much everything he's written and am looking forward to reading this. There's a sense of whimsy, sometimes grim whimsy too, in his books, but I suppose I like that.
Spoilers ahead if you haven't seen it!
I think they gave Duko a tank with the fuel to burn, and the idea was to burn Kendall's body beyond recognition. I don't think they need to burn the research, as they deleted it via a computer virus.
Very true, and she's trying to learn on the fly, which isn't easy and likely make more difficult by being a woman. Even she is relying on people to rally to Jon, instead of to her.
Sansa's not stupid, she's just inexperienced. She can't play the game as well as Baelish, mostly because she simply hasn't had time to learn all the rules. Yes, she made those mistakes, and they were mistakes. But she's doing the best she can, and people are making her reconsider her assumptions — Davos on the loyalty…
I read a lot, if not all, of Ludlum's novels way back when. I don't recall "The Janson Directive." Did I miss one? Is this one that someone else wrote (like Eric van Lustbader did with the Bourne novels) under the Ludlum name? This is all very confusing early in the morning…
Avatar doesn't get the visceral reaction from me, though. Probably because it didn't grab the cultural throat like Titanic did. I didn't see Avatar in theaters, so I grant I probably missed something big there, but the movie itself, when I did see it (on a large flat-screen TV) just left me kind of blah.
I can see that, but I prefer the director's cut. Mostly for the scenes with the young girl, the hooker's daughter. Having her there, and him leaving after seeing her, to me made the question of whether he'd committed the murders much murkier and more interesting.
When they are done making reboots I guess they can switch to crossovers.
I love Firefly, and my husband loves it even more. I personally don't get caught up in all the fandom stuff — no cons or fan forums or whatever for me. We've watched the series once or twice since it went off the air, and have enjoyed it every time. Then again, I was there for the original airing, so I pre-date the…
