I feel like he could assemble a very decent, compact team of people to oversee the dreary business shit, as many bands do nowadays. He'd have the singular focus on himself and ultimate control. He has a rabid core fan-base and is known and revered worldwide, so it's not like he's leaping into the void.

I guess the elephant in the room for me is why Morrissey insists on going through majors anymore. One would think that self-releasing would afford him the control he's looking for. Is it ego/out-of-date views on the major's importance/bloody-mindedness that keeps him going to the bigger labels?
