In the tree section, stay to the right when it splits into different paths at the beginning. At the next part in the tree section, stay in the middle and start your power slide a little early (when you land from jumping over the last fallen tree). You can shoot the gap and miss the trees and catapult you forward!

Waluigi regular bike all day every day for me!

Kart was great! It's all about resource management. If you're towards the front, always keep a banana/turtle shell dragging behind you. It'll save you a lot, you'll miss picking up new items but if you pick up a squid or something that doesn't protect you, you're boned because a red turtle shell WILL hit you.

I've started skyward sword but didn't finish the first dungeon and didn't pick it up since. I need to get back into that.

I'm torn on getting one of those. The ability to not add more games or play cartridges is holding me back. We'll see.

Mario Kart 8 on the 8th was a huge success! That was the most people on since I started playing. That was a blast. Hopefully it keeps like that moving forward.

Heading to Penn state this weekend for my sister in laws birthday tomorrow. Should be fun. But tonight I'll probably dive back into Deadspace, I'm 2/3rds of

It's definitely fun and it happens on the 8th of every month at 8pm (central time). The info is always posted in the comments on the "What Are You Playing This Weekend" article on the Friday before the 8th of the month.

Play Mario Kart 8 on the 8th with your fellow AV clubbers tonight instead of watching all that! Or you could have that going on your TV and play Mario Kart on the gamepad! 9pm Eastern Time, 8 Central. Code: 0699-6646-7941.

We like saving our daylight!! Or are we losing it now? Hmmm… Either way, we like messing with stuff that's probably fine the way it is.

There are a lot of things I like about the NES Classic, but I was really bummed to learn it wouldn't play NES games. I need to play Little League World Series and it's not on any VC or anything!

Can't wait for this!

Yeah, I normally like to get on this thread as soon as I get in to work so that I can take care of some stuff and then go back and check later when conversations are going. Wasn't posted by 9, had meetings and stuff until noon so now I feel I'm way behind the 8 ball. Really looking forward to kart on Tuesday.

This thread went up so late! This weekend I'm finally not travelling or having visitors. So other than some yard work tomorrow, I'm going to have some time to dig into some games. I put down Darksiders 2 for a little bit, so I'll get back into that. I beat the guardian and then game froze in the cut scene afterwards,

I'm only in the 200s on the podcast (started this past summer) and the one thing that always cracks me up about WYR is whenever Paul F Tompkins is on and as soon as Scott says, "The floor is now open for questions" Paul F Tompkins immediately says, "I have a question." Doesn't matter what character he's playing or

That's my favorite intro to any bit, more so than Scott yelling at people to shut up during the WYR theme. The long intro into the long "Whoooooooooo" smash cut to Scott saying "said it", gets me every time.

I don't know if SB is correct for women. Rub tub? Flick pick?

Yep, those are the ones. I had a rough time with them too.

I think I know exactly what 2 guys you're talking about? They look like weird scorpions or something? I had a rough time against them too. The 2nd one was much better and I'm glad I played the first one before the 2nd one because I probably would have stopped the first one if I'd already played 2.

Play off screen on the gamepad and have the TV showing all that stuff and you can keep on karting.

100cc is good. I agree, that night shouldn't involve picking sides or anything like that.
