Adult oriented cartoons nowadays almost always have to have a deliberately ugly art style, or quasi-realistic humanoids with stiff animation, or whatever off-putting aesthetic as long as it doesn't look like a plain old fucking cartoon.

Hoping this is the first Marvel show to keep me interested for a whole season. Jessica Jones was really good but it started running out of steam after eight or nine episodes, and I quit Daredevil after the first episode. Luke Cage was one of the best parts of JJ so I'm optimistic.
