I've always been more of a lurker myself, but the AV Club comments have kept me coming back regularly since I started reading in the early days of the Community reviews. Reading your guys' posts has been fun and often genuinely enlightening. Thanks for making the internet a slightly better place.

Before you block me, I'm curious - did you actually read the essay in question?

That's what it is though.

I think it cheapens the very concept of trauma to pit two variations of PTSD against each other, essentially implying "my trauma is better/worse/more real than your trauma."

Doesn't it work pretty much exactly the same as disqus?

He looks like Joe Lo Truglio in that picture.

Why is the color palette so dark? It kinda feels like it's trying to emulate BTAS and the Adam West series at the same time.

We lost turnout because of legalized voter suppression, a Nazi tactic. But we're supposed to not make the comparison because it might scare some people off? Whose problem is that exactly?

I'm trying to understand your point and now you've become incoherent - yet still unmistakably condescending. Are you going to help me out or not?

I honestly can't tell what you mean because of your use of the term "outside world." Is this about other countries, or non-liberals?

What scares me is that you don't seem to show any awareness that Nazis actually exist and are a threat. Because if you did, you wouldn't be complaining about liberals "calling everyone a Nazi." The frightening reality is that Nazi ideology is not a relic of the past nor is it all that radical in the current landscape.

Why would "perfectly calm" be any better for an article like this? Do you not think the tone of the article is appropriate for someone like Lord?

Proves what point? That posting Sieg Heil on twitter will get you fired from your high profile gig on CNN?

Why do you care so much about being mocked?

Who is "we"? Who has blown a gasket?

So getting fired was part of his gambit all along? Yeah, I buy it.

I can't wait for the experimental pop albums of Animal Collective Guilt.

My ability to detect tone through text is failing me with this comment. Honestly not sure if you're serious or have been serious at any point in this thread anymore.

Why would you say that?

Blockbusters are just a fraction of the movies that come out. Broaden your horizons. You'd be surprised how little space superheroes actually take up in the cinema landscape.
