True. Doesn't make it better though.

That is a great idea for a Fallout roleplay run.

The ol "Mother wouldn't like that" excuse.

You have never gained any insight about anything from watching/reading fiction? Not ever?

Deciding not to vote because people you respect tell you it's pointless isn't on the same level as choosing to be violent. Yes, people truly do form their world view based on the entertainment they consume, especially when that entertainment is as explicitly political as South Park.

Um. That sure is a patronizing way to say "I don't share your taste in shows."

It is a very different sort of drama. Many reviewers compared it to Hitchcock, with good reason. I think it's a shame such a great stand-alone film has "Cloverfield" included in its title since it really doesn't need to be there (could have been "10 (anything) Lane") but don't let its association with Cloverfield

I think the ending cemented the message. It's better to face a scary outside world, even when it's legitimately deadly, than to live pointlessly in fearful safety.

You assume wrong. 10 Cloverfield Lane was a fantastic thriller with one of John Goodman's all-time best performances. Highly recommend it.

They knew he was a sleazy, lying asshole who treated people like garbage. They had every indication his veneer of "success" was a facade. And still they thought "let's put him on a throne and let him lecture the world on how to be more like him." They made the world an uglier, stupider place.

Already got that covered, m'dude. 👍

It is when I think it. 😘

I lost my job as a cashier because my smile didn't reach my eyes. Most of the world's employees are treated as disposable, which makes it that much more insulting to see some millionaire acting aggressively put-out for having to do paid interviews.

No, but if you started taking out your contempt for grading on kids, you're damned right you shouldn't have been a teacher. Ford is an entertainer who regularly communicates contempt for his audience. And gets paid millions for it. There are plenty of old white actors in the world who would be delighted for the

It's part of the job. If you like making art but hate selling your artwork, you shouldn't be an artist. If people are depending on you to sell your work and you refuse to try, you're dropping the ball. Every job has its tedium and the world doesn't owe it to them to continue entertaining their hobby if they don't want

And then they get fired. An employee who regularly makes a point of letting customers know they don't want to be there and it is a huge imposition that you are bothering them with work-related business at their job is a bad employee.

I respect the hell out of him for that. And when he decides he's too bored with the lifestyle, hopefully he'll let the next guy waiting in the millions-long line of aspiring actors step up to take his place. But for now Dwayne Johnson will make it clear that it is a sincere pleasure and an honor to be invited on your

So basically it's like a service industry job, except they get to sit down the whole time, have a personal assistant at their beck and call, and get paid millions of dollars?
