I think The Room is a very entertaining bad movie, but if my experience with Ed Wood is an indicator, one doesn't necessarily need to have previously watched the bad movie(s) a movie like this is about to enjoy it.
I think you're missing out. The chapters on Greg and Tommy's friendship are often mind-boggling, sometimes unhealthy, and occasionly even genuinely moving. And Greg does an amazing Tommy impression throughout the audiobook.
