Does that Spiritual Waterbending trick EVER work?

In the comments section of an AV Club review of an episode of ADVENTURE TIME. How odd. Normally in such a place you'd expect to find, say, noted Sufi theologians and Lithuanian poets.

They're not jowls, but the prehensile facial hair of the Ben-10 alien "Molestache" comes close. My third favorite animate facial hair in animation (after THE TICK episode "Mustache Feelin'" and "Raoul", from EL TIGRE.

My favorite gag is still the bit at the beginning, about there being no record of a hurricane striking Springfield, due to the the Hall of Records getting blown away.

I figured out the thing (well, the third or fourth thing) that bothers me about Camren Bicondova: she's got a head like someone's 40-year-old aunt.

Talking "canon" with respect to THE SIMPSONS is like talking about all the times MR. ROGER'S NEIGHBORHOOD featured murder-suicide pacts.

No, the classic Milhouse line from this episode was "I'm lucky; I look just like my Mom."

It felt odd that the episode ended with Zeke still under the impression that Holt is a bad boss. The Law of Sitcom Anagnorisis indicates that after convincing Holt to carry out the charade, Terry would have a crisis of conscience, confess, and offer a stirring paean to Holt as a man of unparalleled character,

I thought of that, but they could cheat by having it happen in the last episode so they don't have to address whether gay people exist in the setting but we just haven't seen any, or what. I agree it'd be biting off more than they can chew to make the story about that at this point, and I don't think it's likely

Bolin with character development is the best Bolin. I also love a show where a technique as catastrophically destructive as lavabending is given to the Nicest Guy In The World, and they still find plenty of occasions for him to use it.

You'd think, budget-wise, synergy between the movie and TV studios would pay off. One could create, for instance, an elaborate CG environment (taking countless hours to assemble) and once it's made the other studio could piggyback on the effort.

Several scenes with Edward Nigma in this one, none of which were insufferable, which is a step forward. The examination scene did me roll my eyes at first, but actually turned out to be a refreshing subversion of the phenomenon where five named characters do literally every function withing theoretically massive

Wha'd I say last week? The show needed to bring Katrina into the fold and let her develop report with the rest of the cast. And for just a moment, we had a glimpse of what that show could be like. But now it's back to this show's #1 rule: Scenes With Katrina Can't Be Fun. Some fun could theoretically be wrung out of

There is now way to capture the vicarious joy one feels at that line reading.

How awesome is it to see Varrick as the badass principled one, and Bolin as the sensible, responsible one? It's like their characters are…developing, somehow.

I actually thought Missy would turn out to be River Song, y'know, time lord, left in a digital format for all time, yadda yadda yadda…

I didn't know Falcone had the Smashing Pumpkins on his payroll.

Gad, being the Horseman of War sure seems to leave plenty of time for arts-and-crafts.

Watching this the first time spurred me to coin a phrase: "Dramatic Irony Porn."
