Is this your piece or one of your cohorts'? I QUITE enjoyed it. I was a little too cautious, perhaps, about including a screen grab of that sex scene in this piece. This piece more than makes up for it.

Aw. Bless that guy, because why not.

Yeah, I've only seen the more recent one (I don't know what's wrong with me), but I feel like I understood the general thrust of it. The "it's forever" thing affects a kind of trendy cynicism about sequels and franchises, which I'd theoretically agree with it, but they don't really draw an intelligent comparison

Or like a nice bland saltine (not kidding, I love saltines).

Honestly though didn't any of you feel like that video didn't even really get to the heart of what January movies are really like? In favor of long "funny" pauses?

I've never played any RE games so that may affect my overall enjoyment of the movies.

Well, I've been to Catholic mass that uses the wafers, but it's comforting to know those bastards are all going to hell for making me eat that styrofoam.

Rewatching these movies, I expected to hear music of the Daredevil Soundtrack ilk, but, as with the actual Daredevil movie, surprisingly little of that kind of music actually plays during the movies themselves. Offhand, I'd say there's way more pop music in Daredevil than there is in Underworld, and a lot more of

My Catholic church growing up also used real bread, and most other churches I've been to uses the wafers which I found SUPER confusing when I first went to another church as a kid because they did not look edible to me at all.

I stand corrected. I know nothing of your lazy Protestant customs!

Don't use the word "butthurt," just like as a general rule.

Hard disagree. Resident Evils 3 and 4 are the best of that series (though I haven't seen the 6th one yet).

I think Katie had it somewhere on her list, too. :) (Maybe top 15 instead of top 10?)

I think I've been to that second-run theater! (Though I never saw Lost and Found, surprisingly given my willingness to watch terrible SNL-related movies.) I believe it closed before I moved to New York, but a few times I visited my college roommate who lived here, and we saw The Replacements there, I think (kinda

Huh. In my by no means definitive experience in various Catholic churches, I had never seen passed-around communion. In this particular movie, it looks very much like it's a logistical necessity because the church holds two or three times as many people as most churches I've been in (save, like, majestic old churches

I do like Mitra, too, though I've only seen her in Lycans and Doomsday (IIRC). I call her a poor man's Beckinsale affectionately, and really that only makes sense in the context of these movies. Also her character in Lycans very much comes across as a poor man's Selene, given what happens to her.

He was a props guy for Roland Emmerich.

I did DVR a couple of movies from my catch-up list off of TCM (though not Sweet Smell of Success — friend of mine has that one on hand).

omg that's a thing they say in a video lololol

Definitely. I think it's wonderful dialogue — the writing on this show is excellent.
