At first I was shocked they killed off Octavia and felt it was a bold choice, but then it turned out they just ripped a scene out of Lord of the Rings.

Why is this show going on hiatus until April? I guess it did kind of feel the way a mid-season finale would, I was glad the LMDs in the base plot didn't seem to last very long because I was worried about that dragging.

I think it was unfortunate that we didn't get to see more of Gorilla City. They probably didn't want to deal with designing it, but I would have liked to have seen more.

I think the show still needs to revise their format a bit. It feels like they're kind of writing James out of the show now, because of the lack of CatCo. They need to find a way to better integrate him and I still feel like Kara going to work is the way to do that.

Caroline doesn't have the body count the other vampires do because she hasn't lived as long as Stefan, Damon or Enzo which makes sense. Once she's been a vampire for 100 years I expect her body count to have grown a lot more.

One issue I have with everyone getting their memories back once Stefan is human is that this was not explored at all when Katherine was turned human. It seems like a rule they just made up now, and didn't think of back when they introduced the cure previously so it's yet another retcon. Although, I did appreciate the

I think it's possible Wes was already dead when Connor found him, and Connor tried CPR and failed. We know Wes was dead prior to the fire, so the person who killed him and the person who set the fire could have been different people so maybe Connor is only guilty of arson.

A lot of the CW shows tend to ignore the parents, and just have the teenagers off getting drunk and we'd see the parents once in a while but they'd be pretty clueless about the lives of their children, so this show actually feels like a bit of an improvement assuming they don't drop the parents out in the future.

I actually felt like Archie was the only one who was oblivious to it. Betty & Veronica stated what she was doing was illegal and that she was predator but kept their mouths shut because they didn't want to "betray" Archie. Betty's mom obviously was furious and knew how wrong it was.

She wasn't actually arrested or anything, she she'll probably be back at some point in the future.

I was a bit disappointed that Miss Grundy wasn't arrested, to be honest. Betty's mom finding out about her was the first time I've liked the character, but then they didn't go to police and report her.

I generally feel like the Arrowverse overlooks the "regular" part of the character's lives. Arrow, for example, often times seems to forget that Oliver is now the Mayor so I was happy to see that they remembered this week and he ended up solving the issue as the Mayor, not the Green Arrow. I hope the show continues to

Indra having a daughter felt very out of the blue.

I liked the LMD plot at the start of the season but I'm not here for almost the entire cast being replaced. It just feels like it's getting out of hand. Based on the promo, that may not last very long at least.

Didn't Kara almost die tonight? The fact that someone can kill her with kryptonite, or she goes to a planet where she doesn't have her powers, never stops her.

It feels like the show is probably going the Smallville route. James brought it up the Lex/Clark dynamic we saw on Smallville over the course of many seasons, and then Kara just wouldn't believe it but Lena seems to be playing some sort of long-game given the scene at the end. I think it would have been better to not

I was so glad that we didn't have to see Negan in this episode. I also do like that the other characters now know about The Kingdom, so The Kingdom stuff doesn't feel as disconnected from everything else as it did before.

I think Alaric put up with Damon, when he was this loner alcoholic and would accompany him and do dangerous things. But, then he had kids and he had to get his life together and Damon was a party to kidnapping his kids and he doesn't want Damon around them for obvious reasons.

It's slightly different though, because Caroline had this whole future planned including marriage, and that's not something that will work out in the long run and it may not even be something that Stefan wants anymore.

There were no black people, or white people, in Virginia in the early 1600s. The Vikings did come to North America, but not that far south, but then they left and went back to Scandinavia at some point - they'd didn't stay forever.
