One season romantic comedies are huge in Asia and a lot of them are quite fun. I feel like one of these days Western TV is going to start imitating that.

I agree. Also having an Asian American male romantic lead is basically unprecedented on tv so it kind of balances out. I'm going to be checking it out to see if it improves.
