Can you point out anyone in this thread who "doesn't care about people?"

And you think I don't care about people? What a strawman. A lame one at that.

What do you mean "what"?

So no specific examples of "tendency among fandom—we're seeing it in this thread—to put their desire to see whatever blockbuster movie is coming out or keep mechanically buying comics over the actual exploitation of human beings, and finding elaborate ways to justify it."???

I'm not seeing what you are seeing in this thread at all. Care to point out examples?

Well I'll be one of the first in line to buy a ticket. If Michael Mantlo thinks it will help his brother by supporting the movie, who am I to disagree? And who exactly are you and what exactly is your basis to say that Michael is wrong?

Helix is dreadful. It really is a terrible programme. Yet I can't help watching it every week and think the B grade (in relation to the other episodes in the series) is well deserved.

I'm all alone, more or less …

I unfortunately made the mistake of looking up the IMDB at the start of the season: and the listings had Doreen in it for only five episodes. (And I now know who makes it and who doesn't!) So I knew she was a goner: which was sad, because she was easily my favourite character and she wasn't a "normal" sort of person
