When one of the writers wives, an asian american, wrote an episode you all complained that it was nepotism. in fact many of you were outraged that she wasn't an official writer and how dare they hire her, etc. LOL

You want story arcs that are separate from Holmes and Watson…in a show about Holmes and Watson? Bringing on guest stars for extended arcs is exactly when the show began to slide downhill IMO. I'm there for Holmes and Watson. Not Kitty, not Shinwell, not Mycroft, etc.

There doesn't seem to be a reason for Shinwell in the show. I'm not seeing what he brings to the story. He's boring as hell.

At least he knows how to emote. I'll take any scene from him vs Lucy's underwhelming lack of emotion.

That's your one example in 5 seasons? You do know that an actual NYPD detective advises them on each episode.

Oh for the love of God will you get over the "Joan not reacting to a kidnapping" from three seasons ago??! The freaking
door has closed on that. The episode was very good. You complain when each episode has a murder. Now your complaining about this episode with a kidnapping.

People tend to forget that this is a Sherlock Holmes based show. Watson is the "narrator" of sorts for the most part, as in the books Nowhere have the writers ever said Watson would be the focus.

I have yet to watch any crime drama where I can't figure out the killer in the first 15 minutes.

She's had several scenes in 5 seasons that could have been much better if she would only emote.

How much time do you think they have in a 42 minute show to bring back a crush of Bell's?? Please. I'd rather have screen time with the leads and bell and Gregson

Destroyed him? She barely showed any emotion or anger.

A good actor can overcome storylines and writing. JLM has done remarkable things with less than stellar writing on the show. I really like Lucy, but I'm not the only one of her fans who is saying what I'm saying. As for follow up, I'd argue Sherlock gets shortchanged on that as well.

Lestrade was better than kitty and Fiona. I'm dreading kitty coming back this season. At least Fiona is gone. This show works best without long arcs with guest stars. They need to go back to season one vibe.

Still bored with Shinwell. Although his scenes with Miller have a lot more energy than he had with Liu. I'm beginning to think my lack of interest in Joan comes from Lucy's one note acting. I'm a fan of Lucy but honestly, does she ever allow Joan to get upset or have feelings ? After 5 seasons, you can't tell me

Mazar I can take. If Ellis joins as a full time regular I'll stop watching. This show veers off the track when they bring in guests for long arcs. It basically destroys the dynamic. Just keep the main leads.

That's exactly what I did. I can't stand the Shinwell arc. Boring as hell. I turned it off at 10:45. Never went back to see ending.

I have no interest whatsoever in Shinwell. He's boring as hell. Hoping this storyline ends soon. Very soon. Tonight's episode was yawn-inducing. I could not care less if he was put back in prison. And on a side note, I feel like I have to have master's degree to read these reviews. I didn't have this issue

I miss Myles. Genevieve seems to have a Joan Watson agenda. I stopped reading her reviews to be honest. I popped in here answer when I saw Myles' name I was very happy.

Why do you continue to watch the show? Are you hate watching it? Are you just a Lucy fan? Just curious. At the end of the day this is a CBS procedural.

Thank you for saying this Myles! I love Ms Hudson but really, she's only been in two episodes. One for like 1 minute. If people are going to harp on her not getting screentine, let's start harping on behalf of Teddy and all the other one-offs we've seen in 4 seasons. (On a side note, Myles, I've missed your
