A substantial portion of this review reads like a word scramble. How about a quick pass for an edit?

Fortitude totally went under the radar this year by everyone. Probably due to the lack of visibility in the US, but it was a beautifully shot, well-crafted show. Flawed, but deeply entertaining.

The end scene was one of the stranger and more jarring scenes I've ever seen on television. Such a great show thus far.

If you like the Duplass' style, this is pretty much pitch-perfect. Really strong pilot.

Take Lord of the Flies, set it in the future, and add a cast of nothing but sexy teens. Kind of a typical CW formula of using tired tropes and adding teenagers. Seemed like a recipe for disaster, and it started that way–but it shook that pretty early on.
