Certainly the makeup must have been a hassle, and I doubt it was artistically satisfying work.
Yeah, usually replacing western colonialism with a Japanese colonialism that was as harsh if not harsher than the one before. That said, the Japanese propaganda did have an effect on some of the colonized peoples, and caused dissension in places like India and Vietnam that were already chaffing at colonialism's yoke.
Heh, very true. There are some other good stories hiding out in Tales of the Shadowmen, but a lot of dross as well.
