Friends had a lot of turns with all of them losing their jobs and worrying about the rent etc. in particular in the beginning, but I guess they never made it into a "real" problem, being a sitcom and all. They shared the big apartments as roommates, but I'm actually wondering how Phoebe made it on her own for so long

Ooooh yeah that's true. For me, most articles go up in late evening or during the night, which usually makes me miss out on all the fun. But I try to stay in the game! :)

I see your point, I should've expressed my thoughts better. You're right, it's been pretty much same since forever, with slight variations in episode and plot quality. The S6 premiere though was quite bad in my opinion and I hope that the forthcoming episodes will be funnier and maybe drive some character developments

I didn't even think about this angle, but you are so right! Thanks for bringing it up. It felt natural from my perspective (I'm a girl) to see it all from Sara's point of view, but it's probably unusual in films, and in particular in sci-fi films. Emily Blunt played it very well I must say.

I agree, I think it was very important that he saw himself in Cid. He wouldn't have made the same connection with Sara and probably wouldn't have sacrificed himself for her.

Ok, I see your point of letting their guard down. Because if they had remained friends and hung out as friends, they would've probably still been careful. I guess he also realized that she's a good mother and a good person, which might have helped him decide to save Cid.
