Prince has mentioned Santana himself, and has even said that if people are looking for his influences they should look less at Hendrix and more at Santana.

Now THAT is an understatement.

The timing seems a bit off on that comparison. By the time EVH was on the scene, Gilmour had already developed his tone to full maturity. IMHO the two best albums of Gilmour's guitar playing were Wish You Were Here and Animals, and those both came out before Van Halen did.

I just finished watching S7 of Buffy, and have been following along with your reviews.  Generally excellent work all around.

FAIL.  First Singer made a "new" Superman movie that was really just about how much he loved the FIRST Superman movie.  Now he wants to do the same with BSG.  Come on, man, give it up…
