hugely. 4 is the one that offshoots the most introducing new characters and POVs, but it's not uninteresting. and it all becomes relevant. though he does, i'll admit, seem to feel the need to describe in detail every meal that every character consumes and they all seem to have pretty weak bladders.

needed to vent. on that note though i do love Neil Gaiman. his ocean at the end of the lane was a genius book. he does have a very poetic way of writing that i love without going into incredible detail like Tolkien does at times.

give him a friggin break! 'instead of working on his next book'… jesus… the guy gives you all this literary gold and you have the gall to criticise how fast he does it. if he rushes it IT WILL BE SHIT. let him do his work, his way. it's been working pretty god dammed well so far.
