Yeah, Malcolm never said *he* would kill the men. Meanwhile, Kaetenay just looked bored through the entire exchange. Malcolm may have enjoyed his bluster, but I don't think he seriously thought he was 'saving' Kaetenay from the men. He was saving time, and maybe their lives.

It gets better. De Sade's Justine was the inspiration for the character of "Justine" in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein — the servant of Elizabeth, Victor's love interest / cousin. Remember when Victor tried to pass Lily off as his cousin? Yeah. She's 'Justine' squared.

Back in SO 1, the Scotland Yard detectives compared Ethan's murders to those of Jack the Ripper. If Rusk was on the Ripper case, he may have already encountered the occult. Or… he may be Jack himself? Either way, my money is on Jack having something to do with Rusk's story.
