It's not me, but I do know the kid, and I took a ride in that Gremlin the day he bought it. He got followed down the street by some of the filmmakers who asked if they could use his car. He's also delighted the Gremlin is being mentioned in the reviews, for better or worse!

I won't argue the depictions of Chicago as stated by the critic. However, some minor quibbles for the lazy reviewer: the area code 231 appears several times (not 213), which is from Michigan, not LA. And the "vintage-car-show-quality 1977 AMC Gremlin" is actually from 1975, rusty in parts (not visible in film), and
